Hey Everybody!

Here is the code for 15% of POD.com moving and storage containers.

CBPR

You can enter this on the web page, or give it to the customer service on the phone.

Just FYI, my move will be about 2000 miles. I am renting their 16'x8'x8' Pod. (Almost the size of a shipping container) the price is $2600, which included dropping the POD off, moving it 2000 miles, and storing it at the new location, or dropping it off for unpacking at new destination. The $2600 covers the 1st 30 days. After that it is $200 a month. (Reduced from $250/month with code)

Your circumstances will differ depending on the move/storage needs, but either way its good for 15% off the 1st 30 days and 20% off the subsequent months.

FINALLY here is another code for $25 off your 1st order FASTRACK will need to call to combine discounts....

Time Warner Cable 2 yr price lock contract - save money or pay them less, you choose

Just got my latest cable/rr/phone bill from Time Warner and it went up $14. I called in, spoke with someone in billing, they couldn't do any adjustments, so I asked to be transferred to retention team. Told them I was not satisfied with rate increase and I would take my business else where. Said they have a new 2 year price lock guarantee that requires a contract. It would decrease my original bill by $10, so it is a $24 discount over all. It does require contact, with early termination fee of upto $150. There is a 60 day grace period.

Just a heads up for something you may be able to try if you get a rate increase. I'm in Greensboro, NC.

LG steam washer and dryer sale at BM HomeDepot, ending Wed. PM at BB for a slightly better deal

I was in HomeDepot yesterday for some brackets, and dropped by their appliance department. The LG top of the line steam washer and dryer are on sale right now, with an additional 10% ending Wed. Only available BM not online (at least this was the case when the HD associate checked).

Washer WM3001HWA: Original price: $1599. sale price: $1298. After 10% off: $1168.20
Dryer DLEX3001W: Original price: $1399. sale price: $1198. After 10% off: $1078.20.

Dryer duct: Original $9.99, sale $8.99
Dryer cord: Original $9.99, sale $8.99
Delivery and installation: Free after rebate
Stacking kit: $25.
Financing: 12 month 0 APR

There's another promotion going on for the service plan. The 4 year plan is for the same price as a 2 year plan: $69.95 for 4 years for each, and $140 for both washer and dryer.

Total before tax: $2429.28 (After rebate)

I went over to BB to see if they can price match this. They indeed honored a price match. But make sure you have the print out from HD with all information otherwise BB won't do it.

Final invoice from BB:
Dryer: $1068.20
Washer: $1048.20
Dryer cord: $27.99
Dryer vent: $32.49
5 yr service plan for laundry package (standard): $249.99
Delivery: Free
Stacking kit: Free.
Total before tax: $2426.87
Financing: 18 month 0 APR

The advantages of buying from BB (besides the few dollar difference) are:
1. BB is supposed to have better warranty (that's what the BB guy said at least).
2. BB has 18 month 0 APR.
3. BB has reward zone points. This whole thing (>$2000 purchase) will give $40 in BB gift cards.

Other colors are available: Silver and Red. Both are $100 more than the white model. I had wanted the silver but it doesn't have the stainless steel feel (as the Samsung steam washer/dryer does) and looks like plastic to me.

This is my first HotDeal post at FW. Thanks for the help from the community!

LED Floodlight bulb, 5 watt $13.79 Costco B&M

Lights of America, Par38, 5 watt (45 watt equivalent) LED Floodlight bulb.
Considering an incandescent night light is 7 watts, this 5 watt LED bulb was
much much brighter than I expected. Of course its not as bright as a
conventional floodlight, but I am very happy with it. I may be adding
more security lighting outside and leaving them on dusk to dawn.

The light output is very white, similar to moonlight.

Similar to this one though not as many LED's (5w vs. 9w).
This was in Southern Ca. There was no mention of this being subsidized by Edison (Costco normally states this on the shelf tag).

Edit: This is a better link for reference than the one I gave above. No reviews on it yet though.

I was filling up yesterday and noticed a little disclaimer on the Mobil Speedpass terms and conditions. Sure enough, it's on their website.

Go to speedpass and click "enroll". Here's the wording:

"New Speedpass customers in FL, LA, MA, NC, NJ, RI and SC will receive a $20 ExxonMobil Cash Card (or a $20 ExxonMobil Credit Card statement credit if Speedpass is linked to an ExxonMobil Credit Card) for activating a new Speedpass account."
